1. Can you get better prices direct for your wedding / wedding reception?

 

To summarise, it is impossible to negotiate effectively without knowledge and leverage.  We have both.

Imagine these two scenarios, and ask yourself if you would offer identical couples to yourself the best price.

Scenario one, you are a Junior wedding co-ordinator at a venue receiving a call about a wedding / wedding reception.  Is it likely, you will have the authority to offer events at a lower price?  Will selling the venue at the bottom rate aid your career ambitions?  Probably not.

Scenario two, you are a senior wedding co-ordinator at a venue.  Will you meet revenue targets selling the wedding / wedding reception at the bottom rate, and have you heard every negotiation story before? Again, you are receiving the call out of the blue from an in-experienced buyer for a one-off event, why would they offer you a better rate direct?

Conversely, Events Angel has a wealth of experience and long established relationships with suppliers.  Our suppliers are tried and trusted, and we maintain our relationship with them based on consistent quality and reliability.  Suppliers have an incentive to maintain high standards and offer us preferential prices for your wedding / wedding reception to maintain repeat business from us.  You benefit from this arrangement.

2. What if I have already negotiated a deal direct for my wedding / wedding reception?

 

It is always better to contact suppliers via Events Angel from the outset.  For example, if you are selling you house and receive an offer from an uninformed buyer at £2,000,000 it will be significantly harder to convince the seller to offer a lower price for the same buyer.  Therefore, please allow us to gain the best deal for you.

We keep an eye on the terms of any offer, and negotiate them in your favour.

3. Frequent wedding errors

 

Wedding errors usually involve couples "learning on job" and naive mistakes based on a lack of knowledge and experience.  For example, it is standard practice for suppliers to discount prices for the wedding / wedding reception by offering less for less e.g. Less items or lower quality items for less money.  The variation on this theme is for the supplier to build a discount into the price.  So they advertise at a price 10% higher than normal, and offer you 10% discount (or less).

The only way to avoid this is to know what you are doing.  It is possible to gain a basic understanding as you go along, but this will always result in you paying an excessively high price and sometimes to unreliable suppliers.
